Default USA 1 license plate question

I was wondering when the stars and stripes red/white/blue USA 1 license plates first appeared. I read that it was around 1973, were any produced before that? Thanks in advance.

According to their Merchandising catalogs,it was released for the 1976 Bicentennial year.
Their tri colored Red-White-Blue plate was used during 1973.

*Steer em right!(NSC)
*New and Great!
*The Super 65's

1966
*A perfectly beautiful year to Go Chevrolet
*Your year to live it up in style
*Thrill of the Year
*Double divendend days!
*The thrilling 66's
*High Style! New Spirit!

1967
*Everything new that could happen...HAPPENED!
*Rumors come true Wonderfully!
*Mean more than ever before
*Exciting Beauty! Power that moves!
*Always out front in safety,(or styling)
*Chevy comes out swinging for 67
*Wonderful One
*America's No.1 Seller

1968
*Look at Chevrolets Latest!
*Decidely 68! Chevrolet!
*Stunningly Beautiful! Superbly Built! The 68 Chevrolet! Dramatically Designed! Distinctively Different! Daringly New!

1969
*Putting You first Keeps Us First!-(USA-1 License plate slogan too)
*The Leader Comes on Strong

1970
*"On The Move" The Chevrolet 70's.
*See America's First-(License Plate Slogan)
*The Chevrolet Movers (Trucks)

Notice that Red,White & Blue,(1972-74) is different than Stars & Stripes (1976).
I originally researched all those slogans back in 2005 and first shared them here on Yenko.net.

These were their NSC slogans during 1967:
*Everything New That Could Happen..Happened!
*Rumors Come True Wonderfully!
*Mean More then ever Before
*Exciting Beauty! Power that Moves!
*Always out front in Safety (or Styling)
*Chevy Comes out Swinging for '67
*Wonderful One
*America's No.1 Seller
They didn't really start advertising their National Sales Campaign slogans on their license plates until the beginning of the 1970's.So before then they used their Parts Dept. plate that read "USA-1 See America's First!" with the word CHEVROLET in Italics.

Yes on the slogan for 1972,but that new R-W-B plate design didn't surface till sometime in mid to late '72 production,(according to merchandising materials),that I haven't been able to pinpoint an exact date on.

Thanks - I just bought one. Sounds like it should be OK for a late March 72 build.
