Default 1969 vented power steering pump cap/gauge

Hey,
Can anyone tell me what is the correct length and style of power steering pump cap/gauge for a 1969 big block and are they the same as a 69 small block? I know they were a vented cap. I have 3 different length gauges, some say "do not over fill" some do not and some have 9 knots around the cap and some have 18 knots. I can post pictures of what I have if that would help.
Thanks, Mark

I have an original 69 pump with the original cap. If no one can answer, I can find it (eventually) and take a pic.

Some were metal caps and some plastic, although that should not affect the length.
