We cannot tell you....as you are no longer in the Chevelle Family.
You’ll just have to wait until NOCC

Happy Fathers Day to me!!!! After LOTS of frustration, time and money, I finally have the Blue Bomber running good again. All new ignition along with a new ACT clutch. I had a friend help me wire the retro ignition box up Sunday and it runs fantastic!!!! I still have to get a module for my tach to work, adjust my clutch a little and a few other minor things and I should be ready for the big car shows in Ohio and Chicago. Hopefully good enough to race it In Ohio.

I took it out in the country and tested the new clutch and so far, it seems to be what I needed.....it did everything I asked it to do.

Thanks to everyone who helped and gave me ideas for troubleshooting the issues.

Kurt

Here’s a couple pictures of the old harness. There was definitely some modifications made to this harness at some point. I really should have changed it a long time ago.......

Wink Bread...

"I got on YouTube and found out that bread works great......not as messy as grease. So I got my input shaft alignment tool that I bought from Crash at last years MCACN show, pushed bread in the cavity and pounded away....it worked like “sliced bread”.

Whole wheat or rye?

I’m a little late on any updates with the Chevelle but better late than never.

I took it down to the NOCC show in August. Went to Dragway 42. Made one pass with the new ignition and clutch. It ran 12.4x. Not bad for a new setup but the clutch hit really hard when I launched. It actually scared the crap out of me. After about two hours, we finally got to make another pass. When I launched it, something broke, so I slammed on the breaks. We pushed it outfield the way and determined that something in the rear end broke.

Once I got it home and pulled the cover, I broke the spider gears and spring plates. I took it to a guy in Hebron Illinois, his name is Bob Kelso. Lots of knowledge at his shop.....he rebuilt it and added a vintage Geis aluminum rear end cover (Geis Girdle).

I’ve driven it a little since then and actually went on a 230 mile trip and it ran great.

Now I’m getting it ready for MCACN to be in the Post Sedan Invitational Display.
