He is going the send me a photo of one done so I can judge for myself if I want that as a compromise to be able to save the casting number. I'll show you when I get the pic.

Dang, it's "always something" with these restorations, eh ?
Did they say if the repros they sell are near identical ? 1 pic of a Moog, I saw had a casting number on it, no clue if it is a match to yours.

RP rebuilt mine. The original grease fitting on the side gets moved to the top and they painted it black.
