Default 1970 Lemans "Jury" - Canadian Dealer Graphics Package

Having been born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, I've heard of a Pontiac Lemans "Jury" that was supposedly a local dealer package.... but never seen one until last night. This 1970 Pontiac Lemans Jury is being offered on Facebook Marketplace in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia, Canada for $72,000 CDN (which is currently around $50,000 US). It has only 55,000 miles (with one repaint about 25 years ago) and is still owned by the son of the original owner. He has the build sheet and original bill of sale.

Stampede Pontiac apparently ordered a string of 26 1970 Pontiac Lemans Post Sedans in Cortez Silver with a Blue bench seat interiors, and dressed them up with black stripes, rear spoiler and a "Jury" decal. Given the notoriety of the Judge, on the GTO platform, I should have expected that the Lemans based Jury might not compare. Turns out, the Jury was simply a low cost alternative to the Judge that offered a 255 HP 350 2-BBL motor, single exhaust, etc.

I kinda wish I still had my own version of the Jury in my head that would give the GTO Judge a run for the money.

The 350-2bbl with a 4 speed and 3.90 gear must have been a rather unusual combination. Pretty cool that one exists in such nice shape and still with the original owners family. Thanks for posting, Helmut!

thank you for posting. I have heard about them for many years, but I think this is the first one I have seen with documentation to back it up. turned out to be fairly expensive at 4200+ dollars.

Cool car. Interesting to note that in the article, cars with both '69 and '70 spoilers are pictured. According to the article, they used '69 spoilers.

Nice Post Sedan
Yep - Very rare indeed....but as the saying goes “Rare does not always mean desirable”

All they really did is take a T-37 and give it some graphics, spoiler, sport mirrors and Lemans badging.

I love it also, but not so much the price. Kind of cool that put a 3.90 gear in it.

That car was also offered several years ago , and the guy was wanting $80,000 Cdn when our dollar was closer to $0.88...
I think I kept a copy of the ad somewhere,...but am positive it’s the same car

Facts are hard to maintain somedays. Notice all the discrepancies that creep in.
Article say 3.23 rear. Other article says 4.11/4speed, 3.90/auto.
This car is 3.90 with 4-speed.
Priced at 2700 or 4346, invoice is $4236.
The Jury option included HD posi axle, but the axle was itemized right above that.

Nice to have both the order and the invoice.
