Default 1972 GTO in Detroit. PHS 400 M22

https://detroit.craigslist.org/wyn/c...149044279.html

I would buy it right now if it is as good as it looks and it was closer.

To start, this is a real GTO, documented through PHS, which still has the original drive train as equipped from the factory. The 400 Quadrajet 4v engine is the correct code WK and the M22 close ratio 4sp is code WO. The engine runs excellent and there is plenty of torque and power through the gears. The color is the correct code 75 Cardinal red along with the black bucket seat interior. There are many factory options which I will list.

* Code 334 GTO package with special performance and appearance equipment ( cost $334)
* M22 close ratio 4 speed with Hurst shifter ( cost $231)
*Safe-T-Track limited slip with 3.55 gears
* Console
* Power Disc front brakes
* Power Steering
* Custom interior trim package with deluxe door panels (cost $164)
* Rally Gauge cluster with Tachometer
* Custom Sports 3 spoke steering wheel
* 15 x 7" Rally II wheels with BFG tires
* Sport Mirrors
* Soft Ray tinted glass
* Handling package with larger front + rear sway bar
* Dome light with reading lamp switch feature
* AM radio with factory rear speaker
* Deluxe seat belts front and rear

There is a hood tachometer which was added and not original to the car. Also, the previous owner changed the exhaust tips to exit through the valance panel which is not correct for this model year. Not many GTO's were built with the M22 4 speed as only 1579 4 speed were produced out of 5807 cars for 1972. Overall this is a very nice looking and strong running GTO with many great features. Not looking to trade sorry. Selling only as I'm seeking a mid sixties convertible as my personal preference. 248-two three one- 33 seven one. Thanks for looking.
