140 Speedometer in a Z28?
Nice Z28 project on eBay. Appears to have a 140 speedometer. Was it installed into the car?

Chevrolet docs state COPO 9737 required COPO 9560 or COPO 9561.

'Sold' for $30,600 (but with 76 bids from 18 bidders, a cynic might expect to see it relisted again soon?).

Interesting. In 1969 a green Z/28 was demolished after hitting 4 trees on a curve in front of my parents house. My brother recovered the speedometer from the wreck debris field.
I wanted it because it was a 140-He wanted it because it was from a Z/28. My mother took it away and gave it back to the kids parents who wrecked the car. Kid who wrecked it was killed. |
