Yeah, Cook sent me a PM and explained the original paint deal. It all makes me wish I had Wonder Woman's magic lasso to put around guys like this so that you could get the truth out of them.

I wanted to clear the air if you will about Johnny and this car and why I went back and deleted my previous post. I had the opportunity to talk with him again as I have many times before over the weekend at SCR. He did tell me it was original paint. BUT, what I didn't hear or was mistaken was the fact that it had been repainted once. We had a lenghty conversation about the car. I now know the FULL story and how Johnny came to own it. Johnny is a good man and I just wanted to man up and say I was wrong.
I also talked with Patrick as well. Although he and I agree to disagree; he is doing the hobby good by bringing these cars that most have not seen or do not know anything about them out in the world of social media. We all have different personalities and we all have different senses of humor. The best thing we all can do is realize these are just cars and the people behind them are the real story and the friendships that made during the process. Nothing more needs to be said. |
