Default Caveat Emptor...tag swap?

https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds...#&gid=1&pid=97

124379N524787

VIN was final assembled on or about October 16, 1968. Car has an 04C X77 body tag; 3rd week of April, 1969.

One or both tags are not original to the car, hidden VINs may not match.

What a shame, good looking car. Always liked the frost green cars as long as the interior isn't green. Basically asking 6 figures for a 50 or 60K clone. Front stripes are wrong, gauges added-no center clock. Would make a fun driver. The owner says he purchased it 13 years ago like it is except paint and interior. Sounds like he got taken if he's being honest. VIN and trim tag are way off!! Not one block picture but numbers matching engine though!
Nice catch William! Just gotta hope people google the VIN before purchase. Otherwise just another bogus 69Z/28 trying to be sold for big bucks!

Just noticed this one on Hemmings as well. 100K asking price, no pic of the trim tag but does have a pic of the "the original 302" that comes with the car. I don't know how to post the picture here. Maybe someone else can. The car VIN is only 87 cars after mine, but the DZ block stamp looks nothing like mine.
Looks like a restamp to me. VIN 124379N668823
