I'm not sure if the vinegar would cause some slow drying out of the fabric and threads. I would consider a light coating of something like Aerospace 303 Protectant Spray to help keep it soft.

I did put a light coat of 303 spray on a few days after, also set up a dehumidifier in garage to prevent any future mold from happening.
