It was a Goodguys 2021 PPG Street Machine of the Year Contender and a Goodguys Autocross competition participant. This is documented in the November 2021 issue of Goodguys magazine that is included. Command Sergeant Major David Vreeland, the owner at the time of build nick named the car in memory of his father who was part of the D Day invasion force landing in Normandy, France in June 1944 – code name “Operation Overlord.” This Chevelle is truly a one-a-kind. Some exterior custom features include shaved drip rails, cowl hood with billet vents, dual sport mirrors with turn signals, front grille with single headlights, front bumper with lower grille, chin spoiler, LED light strips and intercooler inlet, lower rocker panels with removable ground effects, lower rear quarter exhaust cut outs, rear billet spoilers, rear bumper with lower diffuser and roll pan. The body was finished in Pure White with Charcoal Grey accents and Blue pinstripe with 3D edge. The show quality paint appears wet with a deep finish. All of the glass is new and tinted 30%. All of the trim is finished in satin black. The car has the perfect stance on 19” Cor Wheels that have a brushed finish with a satin gray center. The front wheels are 19x8 with 235-35-19 Toyo tires. The rear was mini tubbed for the 19x12 wheels with 315-25-20 tires. The completely custom interior is truly remarkable with its unique design. The custom panels were covered in Enduratex materials and Faux leather. Some of the interior custom features include the dash with floating bar and LED lights, knobs, vents, Holley EFI Pro Dash 12.3” digital gauges with changeable gauges display, Ididit tilt steering column, Grant steering wheel, full length console LED lights, MGW shifter, door panels and hardware, Nu-Relics power windows, Vintage Air Conditioning, Distinctive Industries Pro Car front and rear seats and ACC Dayton weave carpet. The Sony 4000 watt stereo system consists of a floating head unit, amplifiers, speakers and sub woofers throughout the entire vehicle. The trunk compartment is boxed and upholstered with windows to display the sound system and Odyssey batteries with LED lights. The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout with many custom features including LED lights. The firewall was shaved and the inner fenders were built to clear the Procharger and wheels. Everything including the custom engine cover and radiator support panel was finished in gray to match the exterior color. It’s equipped with Eddie Motorsports black aluminum hood and trunk hinges. The car is powered by a Procharger D1X Supercharged LQ9 V8 with over 700HP. It dynoed with 620 rear wheel HP on 13lbs of boost and the dyno sheet is included. The engine was rebuilt by Kenny King Racing Engines. The engine was stroked and has a Comp Cams Tumper Cam. The engine was dressed with a Sniper Dual TB intake, Holley valve covers and Holley EFI. The engine breathes through Hedman headers and stainless dual exhaust system with Pypes mufflers. The engine is coupled to a Tremec TR6060 6-speed manual transmission. It’s equipped with a Hays Dragon Claw dual disc clutch. The power is transferred to a Fab 9” POSI rear end. The undercarriage is also highly detailed with many custom features throughout. The Roadster Shop chassis was powder coated Prismatic Powder Blue Candy which matches the intake and Supercharger. It’s equipped with a rack and pinion power steering system. The suspension includes Aldan coilovers with a rear 4-link setup. The Hydratech power braking system includes a Wilwood master cylinder and Baer four wheel disc brakes. This vehicle has recently been serviced and detailed which is documented with an invoice that is included. From the MS CLASSIC CARS collection.
