I had a '78 T/A and a '78 Z/28 back in the day and I just don't get these cars selling for more than 30k. Blows my mind.

Heck, I'm out at 15k on the disco cars.

This is a preservation, not a restoration

New paint, new graphics, new fuel tank, new brake lines, etc.

His restoration thread over on PY is impressive, he actually saved the original exhaust by de-rusting it in evaporust.

A couple of things:

This car is not a WS6 car even though it has 15 X 8 snowflakes. The combo of the WS6 and the W72 and Martinique Blue with the 4-speed would put this car over the top. WS6 is an important option for that kind of money he is asking.

I don't know why there is an X7 sticker on the valve cover. That is the automatic TH350 W72 400 suffix code. This manual car should be WC coded.

I would love to own this car, and yes it is more restoration than preservation.
But the lack of WS6 is significant when considering pricing on these W72 cars. eBay is not the place for this car - Bring A Trailer is.

Do you have a link to the PY thread?

Might be a situation where he wanted to put "a sticker" on there and that was the one commercially available.

I didn't check to see if the stickers on the springs, shocks, booster, master, etc matched what is called out on the build sheet - but they should.
