Default Mecum COPO's - What's your guess?

Let's play a little game.....Three COPOs going across the block in the next few days. Each has their own level of attractiveness depending on what you're interested in. What's your guess on high bid (no fees) on each? If you were going to buy one, which one would you pick?

Hugger Orange - matching number motor, unrestored? or older restoration?

Daytona Yellow - low mile restored former race car, correct drivetrain

Dover White - Orig. engine, raced from new, unrestored

The orange one had some body work done and paint touched up in the last couple of years right?

I dig the white one.

When Johnnie N. first bought the white race car it had a hole in the hood where the fan had exploded under high engine RPM. He said he wasn’t going to fix it. I wonder if it’s still there.
Hmmm 🤔.

Wow those last two posts have quite a gap in estimates - this should be interesting. I hate yellow cars so I am down to the other two and I would be bidding up that white car all night long, I've always loved that car.

Mick has a better finger on the pulse. I'm just guessing.

Mick based recent auction #'s such as the orange RS/SS L78 which brought $181k without docs or without orig drivetrain your # seems low.

I gotta believe these car being COPO's, provenance and being sold prime time should exceed the orange L78.

Steve you make a good point. I also know the Kiss auctions tend to bring the top money and I may be very low. My guesstimates is based on these factors, the white car has great history but there is no mention of original motor and being a race car it is unlikely, on top of that the car appears somewhat rough and chances are the new owner would restore. The yellow car went thru Indy a couple years ago and if memory serves me correctly bid to I think 180ish and the motor numbers had at the very least been restamped (correct me if I am wrong) so prospective buyers are assuming non original motor. The orange car popped up about 5 years ago setting in the field in Colorado with a number of other rare muscle cars, the car at that time had already had an amateur restoration and had the passenger quarter caved in from an accident while pulling it out of the field, in short may be a numbers car but has to be restored for new owner to be satisfied. I hope I am low on all of these especially since I have three in the garage but it seems that at this sale often times jewelry commons higher numbers than authenticity. If any of these three cars aren't the cars I think they are or remember them to be I will apologize now for misrepresenting.
