Default Pate swap meet

Good Evening All,
Well I have decided to make the trip to the Pate swap meet at the end of April.
This has been a long time happening as it is always been the same weekend as the
Jefferson swap meet in Wi.
Let’s see 40 minutes to Jefferson or 16 hours to Dallas.
All I can say is I wanted to get it off my Bucket List.
So, if anybody has any insight as to getting in, or Cardinal Knowledge as the
Workings of the show facility I would appreciate any help.
As far as the show if you’re going, please stop by and introduce yourself.
It would be great and say Hi.
Thanks everyone,
Joe

The benefit of going to Dallas is, it might not rain for 2 of the 3 days... although we do, badly, need rain here.

Sadly Pate is not what it was 20+ years ago when it was still at Pate. Now with it at the track, it is spread out. Lots of people rent spaces and bring their personal vehicles in and park. Take your walking shoes

Thanks guys,
What are the temperature and weather like?
Jefferson is still very good.
I no longer really leave my space and just set up and sell.
People stop by and bring more to me then what I have time to go out and find as they know once I set up I can’t leave the space.
Mitch,
The last 4 or 5 shows have been nothing but rain.
You spend 2 to 3 weeks cleaning up after the show.
Lynn,
you should come, we could have fun.
Planning on bringing a truck load for sale and setting up on Thursday-Saturday.
Nothing but the good stuff.
I did keep my spaces at Jefferson and have friends that will be there.

Gary, from Jefferson, has a new 1 day show in June at Union Grove that there trying
to keep it to auto parts only.
Hopefully they can make that happen.
Thanks again for the info, keep it coming,
Joe

I have been going to Pate for 40+years. We set up on Tuesday and leave on Sunday. There is a mad dash to leave on Saturday around 5:00 so don't get in a hurry. It really takes a few days to go through the swap meet, everyday more people show up. If the weather is nice it gets very busy Friday and Saturday. Weather varies alot that time of year. Its been 95 degree down to the 30's. Rain, thunderstormes, even a few tornado warnings while at the swap meet. Its always a great time.
Joe, let me know your space numbers and I'll come by.
