I just got my manual box rebuilt from Lares Corp. I had to send it back the first time I got it because it was not right. Second time around works well now.

If you are going to rebuild your steering box I would consider doing a fast ratio conversion. It really tightens up the steering and greatly improves directional stability of the car all while looking dead stock. I did the conversion when I rebuild my steering box on my 69 Z28 and I'm very happy with the results. I used a local company in Canada but you can check out www.powersteering.com he does the conversion and restores the exterior of the box.

I may have to go down this road myself soon, looks like there is a "flat spot" developing (turn the wheel, nobody home) in the steering
