Here is a photo of the rear axle stamp. The PG code is for a 3.07 posi ratio, and the 04 25 (April 25) date corresponds with the car's 06A build date.

That reminds me of when I was discussing this car and it's originating dealer Bill O'Shaughnessey Chevrolet in Dewitt, MI. many years ago. A member on this site contacted me and sent me this original unused dealer sticker for the car! The sticker is slightly lifting from the backing so I was concerned that it may not stick properly, so I haven't installed it yet. Thanks again to that member... this site is awesome!!

The original set of keys are still with the car.
Thought I'd post a photo of the original tire pressure sticker in the glove box.

Were the door jambs painted over when you did the repaint? They look original. If so, how did you feather the new paint into the old?
If you are interested in selling the CA plate, I may be interested. Although I have been thinking about having a reproduction CA plate made made to duplicate the vanity plate that the second owner had on the car. |

The door jambs are still the original paint on the doors. I believe my painter rolled back the edge of the tape on the edges of the doors so there is no visible paint line.
I plan to use the CA plate on another car. I've had a set of the reproduction plates made, and I think they're very good quality.

Spring time sale... price reduced to $49,900 USD.
BTW, after having a closer look at the convertible top, I believe the convertible top may in fact be the original born-with convertible top, but the rear window appears to have been replaced in 1993. The top has no rips, tears or holes but could use some gentle scrubbing depending on the look you want. I prefer the top looking original. If anyone can tell me ho to tell for sure, please let me know ho and I'll look into it further.

The Camaro was looking particularly photogenic last night...
I've gotta do something about that gas cap... please excuse it for now...

Summer is here. Nobody needs a gorgeous driver for $49,900??
I took her out for a long drive to a little town having a car show a few weekends ago and, after driving an hour each way on a hot day with the top down, this completely stock 396 (with a fresh rebuilt carb) sipped less than a quarter tank of gas!
