Default Goodyear F70-15 Goodyear Wide Tread GT Tire Usage

I was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on what cars came from the factory with this tire. I plan to post it here for sale but there is a lot of conflicting info on original applications.

Thanks,

Jason

Don't know if that particular tire made it onto a 70 Corvette, but the original spare on my LT-1 is an F70 15. Mine is a thin white wall.

That has to be the lowest quantity of a particular tire: 1969 Double COPO Chevelle. Amazing that Goodyear did it.

When we restored our Yenko my research pointed to only the COPO Chevelle and Corvette using that tire. I thought the very same thing. Why would Good Year do such a very small run?

Thanks guys. Sounds like it is a rare one. I'll put it in the classifieds when I come up with a price.

I believe this was the Corvette tire:

Very similar but different.

I believe you Ralph. That's why I said I wasn't certain if the Wide Tread GT made it onto the Corvette in 1970.
