Chad's post reminded me of a console I used to own for a 68 Impala. The top plate was black and blank with NO hole or provisions for an automatic or manual shifter. I had never heard of being able to order bucket seats with a console but column shift until then. I sold that for stupid money some time back in the early 90's.

There was a 65 Impala around here with a console and column shift. If I remember right it had a place for storage where the shifter should have been

'64 Super Sports had that too with the std 3-spd on the column.

ive seen 62 SS impalas with consoles and no shifter too..there was a chrome blank plate bolted in the hole..
saw itin a early chevy II also..same deal.. there was a guy in the bootheel of Missouri had a yard full of SS cars..all weird optioned..buckets console..cokumn shift...most where 6 cylinders..including the 62 i spoke of.

yeah i knew that...ive owned a couple 62 4 speed consoles and glove boxes..i meant 63 no clue why 62 stuck..never saw a 64 like above..that nust be one tuff piece to get

Here is an NOS set of 1970-72 Olds 442 emblems I sold a few years ago. I think they were purchased back in the early '90's.

I currently own a 1969 Camaro SS350. Although the original drivetrain is long gone, this 4/speed car has a March '69 HC coded block with #041 heads. The transmission is an M20 Muncie #660 case and the rearend is a BS coded 12 bolt posi. Built in Van Nuys. |
