Which hotel would you recommend for someone who wants to enjoy the show but, would prefer peace and quiet in the evening?
I've stayed at the Hyatt twice and it's quiet at night. There will be some jet noise, but the rooms are quite well insulated, so it's not objectionable. There is a walkway directly to the convention center from there. The breakfast buffet is $25, so I walk over to the Doubletree and have breakfast at the Bistro for about half that cost. The king rooms are fairly spacious.

I've stayed at the Hyatt three times, and I'm staying there again this year.

I just booked 3 nights there again, Freddie. I kept looking at the Crowne, to save a little money, but the enclosed walkway from the Hyatt pulled me back. Walking outside last year was brutal, and I've lived my whole live in a colder climate than Chi-town gets. I'll bring my winter parka this year so everyone can enjoy the warm weather...

We stayed at the Crown the 1st time. The walk down the street with car passing at 40 mph was brutal. Great hotel other than that...Joe

I booked my room at the Double Tree. Easy walk across the street. I have stayed at Hyatt also. Cant wait to go again this year!

And that's why we hammer out deals with seven different hotels!

Each one has its benefits and great pricing. Read the descriptions and see what meets your needs the best.

Default Second timer

Staying at the Embassy Suites across the street. Had a great time last year. A little overwhelming being a first timer. This year will be a slow role thru the entire show both days. Looking forward to meeting new people. Where is the best place to hang out on Friday night and meet? Trying to get a schedule/ plan to best see ALL that is offered. Thanks,
Jeff

There is a meet and greet at the DoubleTree Friday evening. It's in a hall to the left of the main entrance. Not sure on the hours.

Some people manage to get into the infamous Gibson's for dinner, but they must have reservations or get there really early. I've never gotten past the reception desk with a very long wait time.

Thanks for the info. We’ll have to meet up when there. I used to live in Wisco for 40 years. Now down in Georgia. See you soon and good job on your Camaro. Paint jail is a bummer.

Generally speaking, most make reservations well in advance for Thursday-Sunday evenings.

I'd suggest doing so asap, as they also sell out well in advance!
