Fletcher Jones Chevrolet yardstick Westminster & Whittier CA
Hi Gang, again, I'm considering thinning my personal stash / collection.
Here's a pair of Fletcher Jones Chevy Chevrolet Dealer advertising pieces, two wood / wooden yardsticks yard sticks. Very cool pieces of memorabilia IMHO. They've obviously always been local and I can't say the last time I've ever seen or heard about one. These are NOS - or were when I got them; they are still unused and have the classic sheen to them and are clearly genuine and have some age to them that cannot be faked - certainly not reproductions for sure. They've been a wall hangers for years and years. One shows both inches and centimeters. I'm not sure what year(s) they're from but the back of one is a metric meter stick, so that might shed some light - when were they pushing that down here? Mid 70s? Also one's showing a Westminster address and the other is in Whittier, that might help to date them too. Anyway, they are what they are and I'll reluctantly sell for $150 each PPG shipped to the 48 with insurance. I have looked for years for their license plate frames from either of these cities and have never found one of them... and these are the only rulers I've ever seen / had. Very cool opportunity here and they doesn't take up a lot of real estate. Cheers all, Anthony ps - yes, that's what our backyard lawn looks like now... - and this was long before Jr. started slinging Mercedes automobiles in Newport Beach at Jamboree and the 73 - those commercials are ubiquitous around here... almost as much as ze cars themselves. |
