Ray Allen's '70 Chevelle Convertible Die Cast

Hi Everyone,

As some of you know I collect & modify 1/18 die cast models of drag cars. I know some of you do also. Jim Thoren over at Supercar Collectibles is trying to drum up interest in getting a 1/18th scale model made of Ray Allen's Fathom Blue 1970 SS 454 Chevelle convertible. No information is definate yet but he is accepting preorders for the car if made. He's trying to see if there's enough interest out there to get this car produced. If made it would be done by Lane Collectibles using their Chevelle mold which would have the convertible top in the up position. To anyone that's not familar with these models, they are very nicely detailed.

We have been trying to make this happen for about two years. Hopfully everything will work out this time. I will get the word out at the York US30 Reunion in July.

Incidentally Kevin, the Allen car is the main focus of preorders right now but it's very possible that we might also see the Forest Green car of Ray Batterson too. Supercars is also looking into them both with the Allen car being the main one. Keep your fingers crossed!
