1970 Chevelle LS6 4-Speed 4.10 Posi "Born With Drive Train"
This car has just under gone a complete frame off restoration. When I bought this car 9 years ago it still retained a very high percentage of its' original off the assembly line components. Along with the original matching numbers engine, trans. and rear it still had a lot of its' "Born With" components such as the carb, starter, alternator, water pump, radiator, air cleaner, booster, master, Am-FM 8 track stereo, speakers, tach and gauges, uncut dash carrier, seat belts, and even the cardboard rear speaker covers. I was also able to save and restore the original, front brake rotors, dust shields, calipers, caliper brackets and rear date coded drums. Along with a complete re-build of the engine, trans. and rear, all of these components were sent out and restored by all the best in the industry. I saved and restored as many of the cars original pieces as possible, it has re-chromed GM bumpers, door handles and much of the original stainless was also polished out and re-used. There is also not 1 repop or re-stamped LS6 component on this car, everything is original GM. This was a no expense spared restoration and I bought GM NOS pieces as needed. I also restored this car with National Show Judging in mind. I believe this car would score extremely well at any National Event
I have a tremendous amount of paperwork for this car as well, all the Dealer invoices, a lot of receipts saved by the original owner and the original window sticker which I was able to purchase from the original owner himself. I also have an 8 page Microsoft Word file detailing every casting number, casting date and who restored that particular part. I also have approximately a 1000 pictures or so in my Photobucket account depicting the car when I first got it, during the restoration and the car as finished. Every single casting number and date code can be seen and crossed referenced with the Word file. If anyone should be interested I can easily forward all of these if you provide me with an email address. There is so much more to say about this car but not enough room here. Inspections are Welcome with a lift provided, and I am asking 175,000.00 for the car. Thank you guys for all the compliments, it really means a lot to me. It's been a long haul with this car and Chris W, has been a great help. It's also very nice to get a shout out from Rick, I've admired his restorations from afar for a very long time, as I've seen a number of them. Thanks again, Mike

We will be at MCACN with this car Nov. 17 and 18th for anyone interested. The car is registered for the Concours Judging program on Saturday. The original owner Phil Bowers, weather permitting, may be there as well to be re-united with the car for the first time since the early 70's. We're looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends!!!
