Default 1970 LS6 Chevelle Triple Black - 7,900 mile 4sale

Never restored car - taken apart and detailed very nicely, all docs, original title, never reg'd since purchased from first owner, stunning original condition, buckets, rear defroster, nicely optioned car - selling for a collector friend of mine... - $250,000 - thanks.

Beautiful, stunning car. What all was repainted when it was apart? It appears the block and ex manifolds. Exterior paint? Frame? Underbody? Rear? Inspection marks? Thanks.

Is this the LS6 that came out of Floyd's collection a while back and now belongs to John?

I agree that this is a beautiful car but I have a problem with the "never restored" part. If you take a car apart to clean and touch up every part it is not an UNRESTORED car. This was discussed here a while back with the "Benchmark" 70 Chevelle. I know a lot of people don't agree with me but this is my opinion and I'm sticking to it.

I would guess a lot of people DO agree with you, James. I'm one. Many folks still don't understand that an unrestored car - no matter how low the mileage - will NEVER look like a restored car and it actually hurts the value to try!

Again, a great car, but I have a new catagory for it:
Frame-off Unrestored.

Are these the cars from Austrailia we saw several months ago?

Dave,
I am waiting to hear back from some people who responded before you did. I hope to have a decision by tonight. Will let you know.
