The first cheese puffs were invented at an animal feed factory, The Flakall Company of Beloit, Wisconsin in the 1930s. A curious employee named Edward Wilson decided to take home some of the puffed pellets it produced made from grain and once seasoning was added, thought they tasted good. Who'd have known?

Orange Toadfish: It's believed that these fish can actually survive out of the water for an extended period of time, although you probably wouldn't want to run into one of them. They're known to be quite poisonous.

And highly invasive and destructive to Eco systems where they have been introduced and have no natural predators. Areas of the Caribbean are now paying divers to remove them in an effort to save the native species and their environment.

As I previously mentioned, this is our favorite restuarant: Hong Kong Buffet.

Two weeks ago we went back after a prolonged absence. There was a sign on the door: NOW HIRING. Alex turned to me and said; "I think I'll apply - just for shits and giggles." Two days later he is first the new host and 10 days latter (tomorrow), he will be a new server. He obviously doesn't serve food - it's a buffet. He gets the drinks, removes old plates, provides extra napkins, etc. MUCH easier than his former serving jobs. And from what he has told me, they make mad money. As much as $300 to $400 a night for Sat. and Sun. of which both days he works double shifts. 10AM to 9PM.

He really likes the owners (and they like him) and said working for a family owned business is much better than a corporate entity.

His other job at Texas Roadhouse didn't work out. They wanted him to line dance and he refused. I fully supported his decision BTW.

So we will still go to dinner there - Friday nights and Alex gets a 50% discount! Me, I still get the Senior Discount.
