Dale Berger
Read that Dale died. Dales family has owned Berger Chevrolet for about 80 years I think. Nice guy that will be missed. Outside of all the COPOs etc that he was responsible for he was a huge model train nut...R.I.P. Dale..

This is the funeral arrangements for Dale.
https://www.metcalfandjonkhoff.com/n.../Dale-BergerJr What a great guy he was. I have only worked here for 9yrs but always had a smile on his face. He was a joker also when he would walk through the Pro-shop. He was just an average "Joe" as far as not being better than anyone as the whole family is (Matt and Tyler). Kendall

Dale Berger
We have lost a great bank of knowledge on not just Berger cars, but high performance Chevrolets in general. Dale had an outstanding memory, and was always willing to share information on the COPO Camaros and Chevelles he participated in ordering for the dealership. They opened in 1925, and for the last 93 years sell only Chevrolets !!
Very very nice man, and the last of the larger 69 COPO dealers. |

My first COPO Camaro restoration was a Berger car. I called Dale and asked him where I could get a "By Berger" emblem for the tail panel. He immediately said that he had one in his desk drawer and would send it to me for free. Very nice man. RIP Dale.
