Agree, I will wait to weigh my opinion on the 2500 and up trucks. I love the way the 6.2 runs in my wife's Denali, but too many years of seeing g the 1500 trucks with 8.6 rears and 4l60e transmissions failing when attempting to do the work of a bigger truck has me skeptical of any half ton- regardless of what they are rated for.

I have 345k on my 2001 2500hd with the Allison and and
8.1 big block. So I also am likely an outlier when compared to today's typical truck owner.

I will admit to having a preference for the GMC- and remains consistent on these 2019 trucks.

Next week, I plan on selling my 2002 Silverado 2500hd single cab, with the 8.1 and Allison. It has 36k miles. Real truck- spins the tires all the way up my driveway no matter how little you touch the go petal. Rather sell to someone here.

How has the bodies on your 01 and 02s held up? I had a crew cab that now a friend of mine owns and the body is a mess. Rockers gone, rust under tbe bed flares. Once it started it didnt take long. I think it has at least 130k on it

My father had an 02 3/4 ton. He traded that in on a new 14 3/4 ton before he moved out here to AZ. He wanted a new truck for the trip. Both 6.0's and a little wheezy in my opinion. Towing our enclosed trailers out here was funny. I played with him in my duramax on every grade we encountered across country.

I've had my 05 duramax for years and has been a fantastic truck. I wouldn't mind a new one but can't get past the price tags now, lol. At barely 100k miles on mine it still has a lot of life left so hopefully I can hold off on another new truck for a few more years. I only use it when I need to tow something so it sits in the shop most of the time anyway.

Honestly, I think they dropped the ball on a lot of the 2019 Chevy designs; the trucks and Camaro are being panned by everyone. There was an article above that absolutely obliterated the new truck's interior, and as the owner of a 2017 Camaro, I have to agree. It has the same scratchy plastics that they used in the 80's. WTH GM? That is absolutely ridiculous that their interiors are so far behind every other maker. I've always been a GM guy, and mainly Chevy, but after owning a couple Fords, I think they're the way to go for new and newer cars and trucks.

I'm not sure Mike. I'll probably list it on Ebay, and let it run without a reserve.
Not a speck of rust on mine.

Let me know if you list it on eBay, just curious. And someone here might be interested, great truck IMO.
