Default '61 Chrysler 300G Convertible, 1 of 337

Neat cars that don't come up for sale very often. This isn't my favorite color combo, but I wouldn't kick it out of the garage either.

One of the coolest dashboards of all time.

I knew a guy who had one of these in triple black. Needed resto, but it was fairly solid. That is one of the craziest induction systems I have ever seen. He said his literally got about 9 MPG. He sold it and I believe it went out west.

Mine is black with tan seats and white top. White top seems odd from what I have seen. My car was traced back to delivery at the engineering building, late in production but there is really no way to figure out who picked it up from what I have found. Too late for a magazine car and they never had anything like that in the car pool they used so someone that worked there must have got it. I did get a story it was used in cannonball run and had engine trouble near my area and was traded off. It was found with a blown head gasket but who knows. There were 2 for sale recently and I really need to get mine finished so I can make room for something else! Lol

Any idea what one of those engines complete would be worth?

I actually saw one they found on American Pickers lol, I think they paid around 10,000 for it but not sure thats any account. I see the intake manifolds on ebay pretty regular. Eric Jackson did my carbs and they look gorgeous.
We had a terrible time finding any good pistions and my cousin is my engine guy and he has some parts he will only use at last resort. Like non roller cams and cast pistons. So I ended up with a set of Ross pistons and a small hydraulic roller that should really have some torque. It will be interesting how it runs. I have the engine done and found a guy in the 300 club that is good with push button transmissions and that is done. I have the chrome done, which I could have bought a car for, interior is in progress. I just need to get the subframe powder coated and the body painted. Too many things have came up to delay the project including a Camaro
