When I am asked not to reveal who or what I DON'T period that is respect. It is not a holy grail car to me nor have I or had any interest of buying it or was offered. Do I think it is worth 225k NO 175K NO. I own several super cars and I use guidelines on my own purchases which is a basic list of questions and verification. I have seen so many cars blown up to be the best of the best the "Holy" grail car etc and people get pumped up I get it. And there are at least 7-8 black copo chevelles as well. My thoughts are different on these cars as they hold a special place in history to me. Not about how much I can get and be a "Flipper". So to tell me that I need to explain myself this is my explanation. Explain why you are so interested and what your own conclusion is?
Sean, With your comments you are making it sound like there are problems with this car, Go back and read your post. Just because the father and son couldn't answer your questions. I've inspected $1000.00 cars better than the 2 inspected this car. This is the "69 427 COPO Barn Find Post" might explain why I'm commenting only about it. Obviously I know personally about this car. You may know of 8,10, or even 50 black COPO cars, But there are only 3 known besides this one. By this registry this is a 1 of 2 black 4 speed car known. Something is odd if this isn't a holy grail. What do you need to know that the 2 men couldn't enlight you about? It is a shame that a nice car as this is brought to life and mostly all the people on this registry want to do is down play it and accuse the owner of being a thief, cheater, whatever else they can think of. The 2 men learned about this car thru work and contacted the owner and they ask to come look at the car and He gave them a not for sale price and here we are, lies, accusations, and cut up backs. This is a great condition one family owned unmolested original car, Can't we celebrate that?

You are speculating that I said something is wrong. Plain in simple I do not by any cars with no documentation. I cut to the chase no BS with me. I have my ways about doing business. Father and son? Do not know anything about that. It may upset you I do not agree with you. If someone wants to pony up 225k good for them. I did not down play the car saying it was a fake or anything else. You come on here only to speak about this car with 5 posts and you are defensive if someone may ask a question that does not suit your situation. The barn find deal has become redundant all cars are now barn finds. Neat find why not post up some detailed photos, numbers, stamping, any original paper work and legitimize it as to what it is suppose to be that would cool would it not?

Sean, speaking of cars with docs.. what happened to your “original paint black copo “ you tried selling me? You sent pics of a known clone car to me stating it was a survivor car. After some research I found it was a fake that was sold through one of the auctions.
You never did clear that one up with me very well.

Wow what a read ….. my 2 cents worth …… if you have the money and you think its worth it ………….. good for you ….. buy it …… to me, if it is not a Canadian documented car, or have a TON of original documentation with absolute proof …. you blew it at any price. As for what its worth ………… original, restored or otherwise …. its an old Muscle Car and its worth what someone is willing to pay for it God Bless you all

Just my opinion. This thread seems to have run its course. Derailed and become personal. Not what this forum is about. Let’s keep it fun, a place to forget about our day to day and realities of life/work Etc. Rob

For what it's worth, I disagree with shutting disagreeable threads down. It goes with freedom of speech. Sometimes it isn't convenient or comfortable. Sometimes the truth about things shakes out in the end. If folks don't like reading the back and forth, which I truly can understand, they don't have to keep clicking on the link to read it.
This is an amazing car IMO and I've enjoyed reading about it.

Question: I thought that 15x7 ralleys were what came standard on COPO Chevelle. Were SS rims an option rather than the ralleys?
