Default 1967 Malibu L79

Hi all, I just picked up my first chevelle this week. A good friend who does restoration work on my camaro's turned this car up. I've always wanted a 66 or 67 chevelle and was waiting for the right piece to show up. I'm excited about the car and will be restoring it with the hope of showing and getting involved with the associated chevelle groups! It's a very solid complete car with good documentation. I've been doing some searches on the L79's and have not come up with much so I'm hoping some members can give me some information or examples. I want to do this car justice

The carb and exhaust manifolds were changed out but I got the original carb loose. The motor has never been torn down and alt, starter, dist, all match up. I even think the upper radiator hose is original?

Yes, it's aluminum but the 67 used it with a Holley and the 68 was cast iron with quadrajet from what I've learned.

1967 took a 490 aluminum intake, not a cast iron unit. That carb does not look correct. What is the number on it?
