Default Pontiac tilt column ID-value

I’ve had this for a few decades... never knew what it was to. I assume Pontiac for obvious reasons. I know not F-body. Anyone?

And value? Steering wheel is junk..tilt column looks complete and works well and very restorable.

Thanks SYC

did it have an intermediate shaft?

it looks like a 68 GTO to me, depending on a few things..if the flange is on it..its prob big car, if it had an intermediate shaft its probably a-body..i dont recognize the floor plate though..i have a 68 big car out of the car, i will look

68 BOP..

if it is a body prob $450ish..if big car, its worth the same, but big car stuff is slow to sell, and those big car guys can be on the cheap side

i had a guy that would buy them and convert them to F Body, but he passed...

Does it say ENERGY ABSORBING on the Button? It looks like it does.
That means 67 or newer.
The emergency flasher button means 1968 or newer
No key in the col is 68 or older.
I showed the pic to a Ex Pontiac Engineer bud, his guess is 1968 A or F body. Looks like a floor shift, not many b body’s were floor.

67 back the jack shaft runs all the way to the steering box in an a-body...that pretty much narrows down to 68...the body style is the question..67 big car possible too

flashers started in 67 in the column

Im going with 68 A body

i looked at my 68 big car tilt, and it has a diff lower collar, and the floor plate stuff is really diff..
