Call me crazy but I'd rather have the clone that Dave (A12 Pilot) built so I could drive the heck out of it.

Ford Motor Co. last week presented Sean Kiernan, who owns the original 1968 Ford Mustang driven by Steve McQueen in the movie "Bullitt," with the keys to a 2019 Mustang Bullitt inspired by the original car and movie.

Friday, on the eve of the 2018 Woodward Dream Cruise, Sean and Samantha Kiernan became the new owners of Bulliltt No. 2. Car No. 1 has been raffled off for charity.
I guess that was how Ford paid them for using the car in their media exploits.

Never underestimate the king of cool factor and how it relates to valuation. I was at Monterey years ago when the 911 he drove in the opening scene of Le Mans went for 1.3M to a Japanese collector if memory serves. Remember, this is the hero car that pretty much started the whole chase flim genre. It's the little things like how he opens the door at the car wash, it popping up in the Chargers rear view etc..big want from liquid folks.

The owner of the Bullitt '68 Dodge Charger camera car would probably be a very serious buyer too.

Personally I would not pay 1$ extra for the car even if Steve Mc queen was sitting in the front seat himself. It's a movie car that happened to have someone famous drive it, McQueen probably didn't drive it during the chase scene.
