Yes - Rene Delisle! His was the next hemi E body ragtop to sell just weeks after I sold mine during the summer of 1987. From that point on, their prices all went up in massive increments. Mine went to Otis Chandler, and then Rene's purple car went to Otis, too, IIRC for way more than $35K. I think more like $100K. Each successive sale would double the previous one because Otis at the time was paying whatever anyone was asking for the most rare musclecars with bulletproof provenance. He was a bazillonaire and was establishing his personal museum of "Transportation and Wildlife" to show his car collection and hunting trophies.

I parted out and crushed a real 1969 SS Chevelle L89 in 1983. Motor was junk and gave the M22 to my cousin. We sent it to the crusher with a 12 bolt posi and rosewood steering wheel.

I remember standing beside Rene's car and saying it was 10X what I was paying for a 440+6 Cuda.....But I bought my car a few years earlier. Always wondered where it went and where it is today? Nevermind, I see it is in Kevin Suydam hands now.

A Mopar burnout guy I went to high school with found a '70 Cuda our senior year ('86.) Paid $1000.00. TorRed, V Code 440 6bbl, Shaker, billboards, Ralley's and 727. No rust and slightly faded paint. Supposedly an ex Ramchargers race car we were told. Remember the trans case painted with orange and black stripes down the case (Fairbanks trans?) Sounded mean as hell. Saw it run at Detroit Dragway. Went 13.90's baking the dead, dry tires down the track. Intake /carb setup was eventually traded for a tunnel ram with two 660 Holley's. Then the younger brother hit a house next door and another primered front clip was on it the next and last time I saw it. Idiots.

For what it's worth, this is not an unknown car. Maybe it's been MIA for awhile, but it was registered with the Daytona/Superbird club around 1979.
