I think you should be able to get one hell of an L46 for that price; mid thirties is big block territory.

That's what I was thinking! For a hard top roadster, A nice original / survivor in a good color , & some documentation is what I'm hopeing for, I prefer the small block over the 390 hp BB, So I'm realistic on finding something in this price range ?

I have seen some nice L46's lately and FWIW 69 is the best year of the C3's.
I wish I had never sold my 69 Daytona Yellow L46 coupe.

I mentioned your search to my wife regarding our 1969 L46 and she is not ready to part with it. I had tossed the idea around since I don't drive it that often. I am sure you'll be able to find a great car in that price range.

This is one I just ran across not an ac car, 26k one repaint - however it's red roadster and the engine compartment looks pretty original... minus the master cyl.
606-297-150six or 606-792-833three. This car should be looked at the tub appears to show original grease pencil marks under the rood grime... https://knoxville.craigslist.org/cto...245649750.html

I know you would really like one with an original engine. However if you find the otherwise perfect car built after Oct. 17, 1969, I have an original L-46 short block stamped V1017HW, meaning L-46 without air conditioning.
I have looked closely at the rough area down by the starter with a jeweler's lupe, and there is no partial VIN. So, neither you, nor anyone would know for sure it isn't the original engine. Not insinuating that you could REPRESENT it that way, but it would be the second best to an all numbers car. Engine is strong, but needs the heads rebuilt. I was anxious to get it together, and just slapped the used heads on there without even valve seals. True 2.02 heads, but I want to keep them for another project. Can't even remember if they are the originals for this short block. Listed here: https://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/wto/6256011932.html
