Default 1965 L79 Malibu SS

After a decade of ownership, I have decided to put my 65 L79 Chevelle up for sale. This is a Crocus Yellow 65 Malibu SS documented with a POP, and a very interesting owner history. The car was delivered to Success Motors in Tahlequah, OK in late July 1965, and remained in the area with 3 owners for @ 20 years.
I started with a very complete, rust free, correct drivetrain car, and between 2007 and late 2010 completed a frame off restoration. Many NOS parts were used, as well as refurbishing the original rare parts that came on the car. Great detail was taken to authenticity and to the rare L79 driveline and frame items. Car has the born with original engine and rear end, and all body panels are original to the car.
Options include: Original 327/350 HP L79 engine, correct dated M20 Muncie, original 12 bolt 4:11 rear end, factory tach and gauges, wood wheel, padded dash, P/B, rear antenna, redlines, and mag style caps.
Accomlishments :
2010 Chevy International Platinum award 989/1000 points
2011 Good Guys Muscle Car of the year finalist from the Scottsdale, AZ show
2011 Super Chevy Gold Class winner - Best paint, best engine, best detail
2011 Chevy Int. club magazine article
July 2011 Hemmings Muscle Machines feature article.

The car is very well sorted out, and can be driven anywhere. I built the car myself in a friend's shop and have many pictures to document the build.
Thanks for looking, and please call with any questions. Kevin DeWitte, Phoenix, AZ 480-772-0795

Asking $60K, and will consider trade up or down for a Berger car, or a documented low mileage original muscle car.

I have seen this car featured in Hemmings and in Bruce's Pavillions pictures and it is one beautiful 65 SS Chevelle. I wish that I had the money to buy it, as a 65 L-79 Chevelle is one of my favorite muscle cars.
Good luck on the sale and I hope that it goes to a good home.

Wow.

Fabulous car.

Jacquie?
Did you sell that "extra" Z/28 you had?

This one looks pretty sweet.

Yes Lynn, it's sold. I've been eyeing this sweet 65, what a beauty! But I should probably stick to the 66-67's.
