Default Stolen FedEx package - question

Hi folks,

I recently purchased a $40 antenna kit from a well known parts supplier and never received the package. FedEx claims the package was delivered...but it ain't here...so I'm guessing someone must have made off with it when it was on the porch.

FedEx is telling me they fulfilled their obligation by delivering the package, and the vendor has gone radio silent on me after I asked whether they had a policy for stolen items. Do I have any recourse here or am I SOL?

Thanks,
Tony

With UPS if the driver releases it without a signature you can have the shipper start a claim. If the vendor does not tell them you will call your credit card issuer. I would think FedEx has same policy.

Thanks TWB. The shipper has offered no help so I will try PayPal.

i bought a set of clutch pedals from Oregon to KC..i tracked it and said delivered..and it was not here..when i called the seller..he gave me the same line of crap..he did his job..so he contacted fedex and they said they did their job too..so i thought i was screwed..

4 days later they showed up..the fedex manager said, the first time..the drivers GPS showed him in my driveway when i got the notice it delivered..

when i called her back and said it was here 4 days later..dead silence...so i dont get it..at all

from now on the only way i'm buying anything is with paypal, and a guarantee the seller gets a direct signature on my package..i will gladly pay th $2...no other options, its that way or i just dont need the part..

Mark...that is exactly what happened to me (except for the part where your package was delivered later). I got the 'GPS shows the driver delivered your package at your house' line from FedEx. Hopefully the antenna is on its way. I have to say FedEx has been pretty flawless for me before this incident, assuming it actually was their fault and not a stolen box.

I bought a RING Doorbell camera last month for this very reason, but it still hasn't shown up yet, while they say it has.
Ironic.

i dont know whats going on with them..i went into a fedex store to ship something and it was a mess..they wanted ID and a bunch of extra info, blamed it all on Texas that someone was mailing bombs..was all i could do to stay there and not punch the guy..he was so obnoxious

3 days later i went across the street to UPS and no issues..no ID stuff etc..no attitudes..but shipping cost more...almost worth it..

fedex has a 3 a day rule..coast to coast in 3 days or less...so not sure if my package got delayed or side tracked...but the truth is the last 4 or 5 interactions with them was really bad..after decades of flawless deliveries both ways...

I have cameras, and verifying deliveries is a a nice extra feature. Shippers are getting g better too and taking pictures of delivered packages.

I found a package just the other day delivered to the neighbors. Thankfully that was easy to locate- but FedEx seems to be slower to adapt to these newer tech friendly practices. Good luck!
