This Emerald Turquoise L79 67 Nova SS is 1 of 6 built. It was sold new at Crawley Chevrolet in Shelby NC to James Robbs. This car was found and restored by Jack Duer and won Gold at MCACN in '09 and '11. I believe this is the only 67 L79 Nova with it's original engine and it also has it's original POP. This car was built the first week of June and is equipped with a Saginaw 4 speed like the other known 67 L79 Nova's. It also has a FQ open 12 bolt with 3.07 gears which is also the rear shown on the POP's of 2 other 67 L79 Nova's. According to some sources this rear was only available on the L79 Nova's. This car was featured in the March '10 issue of Muscle Car Enthusiast. It was bid to $170K.

I'm not sure what happened. These two pictures didn't appear with the prior post.

This Marina Blue L34 66 Chevelle SS was sold new at Colonial Chevrolet in Norfolk VA. This car appeared to have it's original engine backed by a M20 and a 3.73 rear. The tailpipes don't quite look correct, but other than that it looked like a pretty nice car. It was bid to $65K.

This code 76 Daytona Yellow 69 Chevelle SS 300 Deluxe post isn't documented, but was found with it's original KK 4.10 rear still in place. Since the KK rear was only available with the L78 it was restored as such with the AL heads added. This car won Gold at the Chevy Vette Fest in '06 when Greg Cullum owned it. It sold for $85K.

Did anyone else notice the earlier L79 Nova has a C in the carburetor area behind the VIN where the other 2 have an R in that spot ? Carter supplied Qjet as opposed to Rochester Qjet on the other 2 ?
