'66 Corvette L72 Coupe with Protectoplate
Damn! Sold new at Lyman Slack Chevy...currently has a '69 full-size Chevy 427 engine in it.
In any case, I don't see a lot of these L72 coupes with paper...price doesn't seem too stratospheric considering. Link to 1966 L72 Corvette auction 194376S113206 |

----I really don't mind a 427-425 66 Corvette with the wrong motor. Most were blown up anyway. In this case (if it was me) I would take the 942 block he is offering with it and stretch it a bit (454 or maybe bigger) and build it stout! 550/575 hp ought to fit the bill very nicely. Dress it out as stock and have a ball. It's got the gear! A shame the original KO's got separated, but the car would really talk to me with a set of TT-D's. Maybe that set of American Racing magnesium 7 inch TT-D's that Tim G is hoarding.....LOL!......Bill S
