Are there any legitimate stamps where the worker stamped a T instead of a V for the engine plant?

If you are looking at a solid lifter engine with a T prefix from the late 60's, I believe the answer is "no".

I would think that although the overall gang stamps changed daily, the V and T remained in place at Flint and Tonawanda (respectively) as constants, and in the same way the month remained unchanged from first to last day, only the day and application suffix would be adjusted daily.

I've heard there are other ways of manipulating the metal.
So it sounds like they are better than I realized.... No on the V vs T stamps.

When you stamp metal......what ever you stamp down, moves up in the surrounding area.....So....The same amount of metal is still there....it just moved slightly......A person with a little patience can carefully work the metal back down to where it came from and basically reverse the process........It's just metal, it's not magic......
