Mystery lens
OK SYC peeps....took my dash cluster apart a month or so ago and bagged everything up. This lens was in with the speedometer back plate bag but I can't for the life of me remember how it was mounted or even taking it out. It has pins to insert into holes but I can't find anything that matches up. It's about an inch long and has a part number on it of 6481088. Google search revealed zip.

69 Camaro?
I think there are two of those; one over the tach (or fuel gauge) and one over the speedo. They go between the metal holders for the dash lights and the plastic housing. This gives the green hue for your dash lights. Mind you, it has been decades since I had one apart.

Yes, 69 Camaro. I have no clock or center fuel gauge so probably why I only have one of these. My Speedo already has a green plate

No I do not think is is a 69 camaro, that green lens is just a thin piece of plastic, like a film used over spotlights. no extruded mounting tubes.

I agree with Kevin. Not a 69 Camaro part.

Part 6481088 is found in Group 9.748 in the parts book.
Fits '68 and '69 Nova directional lens. My parts book only goes up to 1969, so it may fit newer Nova's. - Warren |
