Default 1969 Z/28 Exhaust Manifolds

I have a quick question. Why do I hardly see exhaust manifolds for sale in the classified section for a 1969 Z/28?

Mostly cuz they are all rusty.

Many were pitched in favor or headers on day two.

Besides, GM made 20,000 69 Z/28s and there are 30,000 for sale. Supply and demand.

Not just Z/28s received these manifolds. Any Camaro ordered with a V8 and Manual transmission received these manifolds, (lots of SS models), there were more made/installed. But the throwing them out for headers rule still applies

And if those first 2 replies don't answer your question,(and they do),they also reproduce these Manifolds today.

So in short, they're quite common and nearly a dime a dozen.

The repros are easy to spot, they all were cast with that same date E288, which is a 68 model year

Do you need a pair of originals? If so what dates do you seek?

I took off my exhaust manifolds and found a crack in the right side manifold. I took it to Automotive Restorations ( Steve Babinsky ) and he quoted me $1200 to weld the crack. After talking to him he said he can do the weld for $850 and guarantee the weld for life. My left side manifold is dated B 27 9 and would like to find a date match for the right side.

depending on the crack I have a guy that can repair that manifold. if its extensive you are better off getting a new one....I may even have a dated one to match yours if you cant find one
