Default Air Lift Air Bags Vintage V New

We ran air lift bags in our street strip car back in the early 80's.
I plan to use them again in my Jr stock build. I'm wondering how different the New air lift bags are from the originals?

I believe the new ones are red? I don't remember them being red back in the late 60's early 70's

The ones we ran in the early 80’s were red.
I talked to the air lift rep at the trade show.
He said the first air lift bags were made out of rubber.
They then went to a polyurethane type of construction but was unsure of when that was.
He thought that they changed to poly some time in the 60’s
But this is just a educated guess

I have a set on my 67 GTO that the original owner installed in 69 to pull his trailer. They are your typical black air bags, nothing special looking and pretty comparable to what you can buy today.

Default air bags

I have a 64 GTO and a 70 GTO unrestored but raced from day one, or as the term is today, day 2 and both still have the Black Rubber Air Bags in them, I have a NOS set from the 80's and they are a orange/red color, hope that helps
