Default Pro Mod's

My son Benjamin and I are big fans of both the Pro Stock and Pro Mod classes, and especially the World Series of Pro Mod event put on by the editor / owner of Drag Illustrated magazine, Wes Buck.

While in Colorado this Summer, we were able to stay an extra day for the WSOPM event, and Ben got to meet Wes and give him a 'Make Drag Racing Great Again' shirt which was the Jr Dragster theme this year - designed and created by Ben himself, which garnered MGR the Best Appearing Team award at Bristol Dragway back in July...

Some pics to share - younger sister Amanda was less than thrilled

Promod is awesome to watch...never know where they are going sometimes!

Will this ever replace prostock? Maybe someday! More people need to get on board with

other types of racing other then Top Fuel or Funny car! Watch the stands clear out after

they are done!

Kids look happy...most of them anyway Marlin! LOL

Some ear plugs, a pillow for her back and I downloaded the next book in her favorite series....she was good (for a while!)

Atleast she went...my wife would rather stay at home and read her book. UNLESS, her
\
girlfriend wants to go and then things change. Funny how that works.

Good job with the kids and getting them to the track. This stuff has to be passed on!

Marlin, "sorta" followed PM since the beginning. Always liked the class and when we traveled the IHRA national circuit in '92, '93 and '94 with a record setting B/D, got to wee a lot of them.

Hate to say it, but I do like the older stuff then these new swoopy Camaros.

Always liked the idea of "run-what-a-bring" style of PM heads-up racing. That's one of the reasons we got away of the B/D car and into Top Eliminator/Super Modified blown deal. Now we have a T/D A/Fuel car with the T/FD car. Man things have changed.

To bad they wouldn't let A/Fuel into P/M. A A/Fuel injected OLD car like a Cuda/Mustang/Camaro would be cool.....
