Default 1970 Buick Stage 1 Prototype

Does anyone have background information on this 1970 Buick GS Stage 1? It has been through several Mecum auctions and is now listed at Barrett-Jackson's Houston auction. I have seen it several time and it appears the car is well done. In my opinion the color combination is stunning.

Thanks for any input.

My concern is how many times it has changed hands (or been run through auctions). It is never a good sign to me.

This car along with another 1970 GS 455 Stage 1 car were auctioned along side each other at Mecum Auction a couple of times. They both had clear / non tinted glass and white interior is what I remember. Both very unique cars.

I did a Mecum search and found:

Kissimmee 2020 - Sold $60,500
Dallas 2019 - High bid $95,000
Indy 2018 - High bid $120,000
Dallas 2017 - High bid $120,000
Chicago 2014 - High bid $82,500
Kissimmee 2013 - High bid $75,000
St Charles 2011 - $72,500
Indy 2011 - High Bid $125,000

It has definitely traveled the auction tour....
