I came to the realization, I would never restore another car. Period. So, time to let go of some dreams. Bought the Maroon Chevelle in 81. Nicest Chevelle I had. Sold it in the spring to a buddy in 82 ‘cause I was getting married. And I did, now, 37th year. My buddy still has the Chevelle.
That Chevelle looks identical to the one we bought new a Doc Stewart Chev in Clovis, NM ... Sad thing is we had it less then a year ... got orders to return to Vietnam and we sold it. I wasn't going to take it up to Wisconsin where my younger brother lived. So it was gone and we got a 64 Chevy station wagon -- loaded everything including wife and daughter. Dropped them at my parents and I was off to sunny Southeast Asia ...

My dads 1969 L78 we have been restoring how it looked in the late 70s and how it looked the last time it was driven in 1983. How it looks currently as well.
