Awesome car. Having seen it in person I can attest to it's well-earned patina.

I just love that trophy photo, Verne. How did you get James Taylor to pose next to your car?

Steve,
The caption on that photo was supposed to read "I debated loooong and hard about posting this one. I know I’ll catch some grief over this. Same time in ’71 I think (just before the Navy). I had some success with the car on days when there were no “good” cars there!!! Those were the BEST times of my life…..and the best “times” the car ever saw too……..!"

James wasn't available for the photo, so I got George Harrison...........

Verne

Are you sure it wasn't James Taylor? How about Dennis Wilson?

Legendary. Dyno Don's got nothing on that one (or Greg Brady!). Great story(s). Great car - cool you never bailed. Thanks for sharing the definition of "not for sale".

I have also seen that car in person at one of the Jackson outlets shows and the pictures don't do it justice. I envy anyone who can hang onto a car that long; if only I had some of my earlier cars...............

What a fabulous story Verne - It must be great to still have a car you have that much history with. Love that '68 look with the mags on the front and the chrome reverse on the back.
Let me check my fridge, I know I have a bottle of Ripple or was that Boone's Farm to toast you with!!
