My understanding of belt date codes is the 1st two numbers represent the week of the year. So my belts would have a date of the 36th and 37th week of 1969, which would put them in September about 3 weeks before build of the car. All my sheetmetal was stamped the 37th or 38th week of 69.
I was stating that your seatbelts are PERFECT for your car - black standard belts should be dated very close to the build date of the car, there were 200,000+ sets of black standard belts installed whereas - I noted and Kurt re-iterated blue dlx would be a fraction of total Deluxe belts - I speculate maybe 1000 sets between two plants.
Because there were minimum number of sets ordered at a time and they rarely cycled through them, there would be infrequent replenishing.
Infrequently replenished rarely used items such as deluxe blue red and green belts often have dates of manufacture which lead the build date of the car by significantly larger margins than black standard seatbelts which were installed day in day out every other minute... nearly every car on the line.
