I was lucky enough to meet Bob about five years ago. Absolutely gentleman and of course one of the greats ever of American sports car racing. Helped make the Coupe what it was, almost winning overall at Le Mans in '64 (in a GT car!) and effectively killed Enzo's 250 GTO program since the Daytonas were so much faster. https://bre2.net/july-4th-it-will-be...that-happened/

His passing was the second item on the local CBS 10pm news here last night, which surprised me.

What a loss. He was a great guy. Taught me and my friend a couple tricks at the track about cornering. I was just down the road a piece from Sears Point Raceway. Sad... Danny
