Default Tranny partial VIN Decode

Guy's I have a very early 1968 Muncie Tranny, P8T28 which decodes I believe as a Dec 28, 1967 built for the 1968 model year. Now the partial VIN stamped is 381119309 which I would like some imput on. I believe it decodes as 3.. Olds,8 ..1968,1 Oshawa...,and a partial VIN of 119309 ?? Is that correct ? Any idea on what type of car it came out of ? Thx Guys....
