Default Smog Plugs

Hi all.

I'm in the midst of restoring a set of standard cast exhaust manifolds for my Chevelle and need some steel or stainless internal hex plugs for the smog holes. Having a difficult time sourcing some in Australia and cannot find any on Ebay.
My research tells me that I need 1/4"-18 NPS plugs. I can get NPT plugs at any range of places here but not NPS.
This probably seems amazing to some of you guys but this is the battle we face from time to time here.

If anyone has some they would like to sell or can send me a link to a seller on ebay or somewhere similar, that would be great!

Thanks.

FWIW..when I was a kid I used to go to NAPA and buy Brass or Bronze pipe plugs and for good measure coated the ends in the old lead based "Never Seez". Later I removed an entire set and they came right out when I put the smog back on.

Would these work? http://www.heartbeatcitycamaro.com/s...ock-Off-Plugs/
Otherwise you could try Parker-Hannifin, Konnect, or good ol' Amazon.

Yeah, they are what actually came in the manifolds Tim.

I've been trying to find an internal hex (allen key) straight plug with no luck. The straight thread plug I can screw in flush with the manifold.
Probably going to use a tapered thread (NPT) internal hex plug for now and order some from the US when I can get hold of some.

Damien, will these work? They are a square plug not a hex. If they will work email or PM me your address and I will try and get them out to you tomorrow.

Thanks once again to Rick Nelson for showing the generosity that has become almost common place on this site. He has sent me some plugs at no cost, to me in Australia!
Thanks again Rick!

After what some people have done for me on our Chevelle restoration, that was the least I could do and have a LONG ways to go to make up for those. Glad I could help you Damien. Always a pleasure working with you guys from down under.
