Default '72 Chevelle Heavy Chevy 402

It looks like this car just sold yesterday, but having a record on this site of prior listings if the car is restored is always interesting to see. I cannot believe the $25k selling price!

Here's what's claimed to be an original 402, TH400 Heavy Chevy Chevelle. Original window sticker and protecto-plate are present. There's no real way except a build sheet to confirm a real Heavy Chevy model, except the window sticker (which we all know are commonly reproduced). It's a bit strange the only picture of the window sticker does not show the whole thing. It's stated as a numbers matching drivetrain but no photo evidence.

It definitely appears as a base model '72 with the correct interior and trim specs. It also has the correct Heavy Chevy style grille, headlight bezels, hood, wheels, and interior rubber floor (carpet was not available, even as an option).

No pictures of the frame or undercarriage. It was sold new in California which backs up its very solid looking body, but pictures can always be deceiving.

I have always wanted a Heavy. My first ride in a muscle car was in one. My uncle bought one brand new and took for a ride soon after buying it, I was 6 years old and still remember him shifting gears in it. I have pictures of it when new and in the junkyard after a street race went bad. Rob

I remember in the 90's Torrence Auto Wreckers (Steve) had one for sale, wonder where it went. He used to sell some interesting cars.

Relisted in the link below - looks like the previous sale didn't go through:
